We offer tips that can be helpful to get you through the holiday gauntlet while taking care of yourself along the way.
Steph is joined by fellow Reframer Marissa Charest today on the podcast. Marissa joined Reframe in December 2022 and says her life has been completely transformed since. Marissa started on the Cutback track, but within 48 hours realized she wanted to switch to the AF track where she made it 19 days, followed by drinking on vacation, she struggled all thru January and February of this to make the decision within herself to be done.
Today, Steph and Kevin talk about how to maintain healthy rituals and routines when your schedule gets bonkers. Heading into the holiday season it can be easier to say “screw it, I’ll start over in January”, but what if you went into the holiday season feeling your best, physically, mentally, and emotionally? Having the capacity to handle holiday parties, kids off of school, the excitement and bustle of the season, and more?
Today Kevin chats with Maria who is a fellow Reframer and a university professor in Kinesiology who has worked with people with degenerative diseases for 15 years. Maria says she has had a dysfunctional relationship with alcohol for a great deal of that time. In January 2022, they broke up when she joined Reframe. Then got back together about 9 months later when I dabbled (heavily at times) on and off until May 30, 2023. This time around is different because she says she has leaned into the Reframe community, made some amazing friendships, and worked with the amazing coaches. At first, she wanted to be able to do it on her own and it became apparent that she needed more than just daily readings and tracking her non-drinking days to be successful.
In today's episode, Steph and Kevin talk about the urge surfing technique as well as many others such as H.A.L.T. (Hungry, Angry, Lonely, or Tired), playing the tape forward and several more that we can use as a way to cope and tackle cravings in our lives.
In today's episode of the Reframeable podcast, we talk with Joy Rumore. Joy is a wife and mother of two kids living in Tampa, Florida. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and long distance ultra marathon/marathon running. She enjoys living her life alcohol free and all of the benefits that come along with it. This includes substituting chaos for a more peaceful and calmer mindset, authentic quality time with family and friends and waking up with a clear mind.
In today's episode, Steph and Kevin share tips and ideas on how to approach the month to help you be successful. In today's we are talking with Reframer, Lynne Doom. Lynne is a retired Nursing Home Administrator with a passion for all things rugged outdoors, canning foods from her garden, and tapping into creativity through scrapbooking and journaling. She started on Reframe in March 2022 on the cutback track and switched to alcohol-free on June 3, 2022.

In today's episode we talk with Kat Porco. Kat shares with us her story of going from working at a non-profit for cystic fibrosis to being a bar owner who's sober. Along with her husband Mike they are pushing the boundaries of nightlife in the small mountain town of Red Lodge, MT. They own One Legged Magpie, a craft cocktail bar with one of the most robust zero proof menus in the nation. Kat knows that much of the allure of drinking is the ritual, the pause in life when you raise a glass, the sense of community, and the conversations that evolve. We all seek out people, celebrations, and energy. All of which are available at Magpie, sans alcohol. Our staff is predominately sober, offering a unique perspective in our world that is flooded with booze. Sober for a night or for a lifetime, all are welcome.
